FIDO Frolic ~ All Breed Dog Walk
On Saturday, June 9th, from 11am-3pm at the Clackamette Park in Oregon City, join OSNF and take part in the first annual "FIDO Frolic" All Breed Dog Walk to raise funds and food for FIDO's Dog Food Bank.
Bring the family out for an early summer fiesta and enjoy the scenic beaches, sun and shade at Oregon City's lovely Clackamette Park. This promises to be a super fun event with a doggie costume contest and games for dogs and kids. Our wonderful event photographers will be on hand to capture the day, snapping pictures of you, the family, and fido, which we will email back to you!
This is a fundraiser for FIDO, or Friends Involved in Dog Outreach, which aims to keep dogs out of shelters, and improve the lives of those in shelters. The FIDO food bank and AniMeals program provides dog food to low income families; helping those families maintain a home for their pets in times of scarcity instead of being turned over to a shelter. The entry fee of $10/dog goes a long way in helping to distribute 4,000 – 5,000 lbs of dry dog food every month to needy dogs. They will also be accepting unopened pet food donations at the door. A rabies & microchip clinic will also be onsite, to ensure that lost pets find their way home safe. A limit of 3 dogs per person will be enforced for safety reasons.
